Sharon is the owner of Dame Más Dance. Born in Toronto, she grew up in a Jamaican household listening to the reggae sounds of Bob Marley. She later discovered she also has some Cuban roots because her maternal grandfather, born in Cuba, moved to Jamaica as a young boy. She was a latecomer to the Latin dance scene, starting instruction under Edwin Martinez at the Panamania Latin Street Dancing studio in Thunder Bay in 2015. In 2017, she started instructing classes in kizomba, an African dance from Angola, after obtaining her Level 1 Kizomba Teachers Training certificate from ALC Dance Studios (based in Portugal) in Nov 2016. She was also certified by the Angolan government to teach kizomba through Java Panzo, a well-known Angolan DJ and instructor in Toronto. Sharon received further training in salsa and bachata and began teaching those classes in addition to kizomba classes with Edwin at Panamania. She participated in many performances as part of the performance group at Panamania. For fitness, Sharon is certified in Zumba® Basic 1, Zumba Gold®, and STRONG Nation™ (formerly STRONG by Zumba).
